People who know me know that I have been following one music legend pretty much all my life for her being so incredibly inspiring in so many different ways. And frankly, nothing could be more “Fashion & Music” than the project I am about to introduce: Janis Joplin’s Made For Pearl Fashion line.

Janis Joplin, music legend and fashion icon, is releasing her own fashion line - thanks to the dedication of her family. Quoting Michael Joplin, Janis is the fashion boho chic icon and Made for Pearl is for women to find their inner Janis. Also involved is Malyn Joplin, Janis’ niece, who graduated for Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, bringing in just the right background to turn this into a huge success. If I’m lucky, I might get an interview in with her the next few days.

If you ask me, the line is fascinating. The high-fashion approach to bohemian chique and the good ole 70s is so contemporary yet totally retro. Pushing the envelope just like Janis did back in the days. I hope the line skyrockets, hitting the big international catwalks!
